About our Womens Kickboxing Classes.
Want to get in shape, become more flexible, and burn serious calories? Want to learn in a safe, friendly and comfortable ego-free environment and meet other women just like you?Our new weekly Womens Kickboxing classes in Cambridge are aimed primarily at complete beginners who’ve always wanted to try kickboxing, but found the idea of a sweaty, ego-fuelled gym a little intimidating. It’s also for those who have tried it before, loved it, but found the classes were perhaps favouring the athletes in the room. It’s also for those who want to try something new, perhaps build their confidence and get in shape but don’t know where to start.

Fully qualified + insured | dbs checkedMaria is one of the owners and head coaches here at Defend. She is a high-level self defence instructor, teaching Krav Maga to our mixed classes and our kids and teens classes. She is also a talented kickboxer and qualified Kickboxing Pad Holding Coach under respected UK Martial Arts Coach and ex-pro fighter, Matthew Chapman. She also trains Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu in her (rare) spare time.
She is a mother to a 15 year old daughter – who helps coach our kids!
Getting started: what you need to know.
What is a good age to start kickboxing? Is kickboxing hard for beginners? Don’t worry – you don’t need to have any experience to start our Women’s Kickboxing classes in Cambridge and we have members of all ages training with us. You can book 2 trial classes online for just £10.00 to see if you like it first.Want to give our Womens Kickboxing classes in Cambridge a go? Simply book your first class online on a date that suits you (we’re open every Tuesday and Thursday at 6.30pm – 7.45pm) we’d love to meet you! Once you have completed the first class, Maria will book your second class in-person. You don’t need to bring any equipment for your trial classes, we’ll provide you with everything you need. Just wear comfortable clothing and bring a bottle of water.

Our classes are held in the large hall at the back of the school. Our students enter via the back doors which can be accessed via the car park at the rear of the school.

Membership Pricing
All of our memberships are taken monthly at the beginning of each calendar month and we don’t offer PAYG memberships. There are no unneccesary sign up fees or hidden extras.
